If you are having trouble watching a live stream on YouTube, it might be because you have Restrictive Mode turned on. This guide will show you how to turn Restrictive Mode off on various types of devices.
If you are seeing the screen below, then turning Restrictive Mode off will allow you to watch the stream.
Mobile Web Browser
To tun Restrictive Mode off if you are using a mobile web browser please tap the 3 vertical dots WITHIN the YouTube window. Then choose Settings on the window that pops up, tap the arrow to expand Account, then toggle Restrictive Mode to off.
YouTube Mobile App
If you are using the YouTube Mobile App tap your profile picture in the top right hand corner, tap Settings near the bottom, tap General at the top, then scroll down and toggle Restrictive Mode to off.
Desktop Browser
If you are on a desktop browser, please click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner, then toggle Restrictive Mode off at the bottom.
